Terms of Service
Last updated: February 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MyLeadScout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MyLeadScout is a web application that enables users to find local business leads using the Google Places API and manage them through a built-in sales pipeline (CRM). The Service operates on a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model — users provide their own Google Maps API key to power searches.
Key features of the Service include:
- Lead Finder — Search for businesses by type and location using Google Maps data, with real-time streaming results and multi-area scanning.
- CSV Upload — Import your own business lists for qualification.
- Export — Download leads as CSV or Excel files.
- Sales Pipeline (CRM) — Qualify leads, track them through 8 deal stages, log activities (calls, emails, meetings), set follow-up reminders, and add tags.
- Dashboard Analytics — View pipeline statistics, conversion rates, and follow-up reminders.
- PDF Reports — Download one-page pipeline summary reports.
3. Account and Authentication
The Service uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in, you authorize MyLeadScout to access your Google account email address and profile information solely for the purpose of identifying and authenticating you. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, or any other Google services.
4. Subscription Plans
MyLeadScout offers the following tiers:
- Free: 20 leads total, single-area search, up to 20 leads in your pipeline.
- Pro ($4.99/month): 500 leads per month, multi-area search (up to 17 areas), up to 500 leads in your pipeline.
- Max ($19.99/month): Unlimited leads, multi-area search, unlimited pipeline capacity, priority support.
Subscriptions are processed through LemonSqueezy, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's Terms of Service.
5. Your Responsibilities
By using MyLeadScout, you agree that:
- You will provide your own valid Google Maps API key for search functionality.
- You are responsible for any costs incurred through your use of the Google Places API, as billed by Google to your Google Cloud account.
- You will use the Service and the data it retrieves in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service.
- You will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to spamming, harassment, or unauthorized data collection.
- You are solely responsible for how you use the business data retrieved through the Service.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- You will not share your account access with others or use automated tools to access the Service.
6. API Key Security
Your Google Maps API key is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database (Firebase Firestore). The encryption key is stored separately in our server environment and is never exposed in client-side code. While we have designed the Service to handle your key with strong security measures:
- You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential.
- You should set appropriate API key restrictions in your Google Cloud Console (e.g., restrict to the Google Places API only).
- You are responsible for monitoring your API usage and billing in Google Cloud Console.
7. Pipeline and CRM Data
Leads you qualify into your pipeline, including associated notes, activities, tags, follow-up dates, and stage changes, are stored in our database (Firebase Firestore). This data is accessible only to your authenticated account.
8. No Warranty
MyLeadScout is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of data returned by the Google Places API.
- Warranties regarding the availability or performance of third-party services (Google, Firebase, LemonSqueezy).
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of MyLeadScout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Costs incurred through Google Places API usage.
